We are thrilled to pay tribute to Justin Naff, one of Edafio’s esteemed associates and our spotlight for November.
The comings and goings of staff are a part of every dynamic organization; therefore, it can be challenging to get to know our coworkers better as people, especially during a time of social distancing. We have to be mindful that our company culture thrives on our exceptional people as much as their outstanding technical skills.
As such, we are finding that our periodic interviews with associates allow us to acknowledge and celebrate the beautiful life stories, extraordinary professional accomplishments, and even the little quirks that make us uniquely beautiful human beings.
We hope you find each Edafio associate story as inspiring as we do in gathering and sharing them.
Tell us a little bit about yourself.
Tell us a little bit about yourself. I’ve lived in central Arkansas all my life. I currently live in Conway with my cat Samantha. I enjoy helping people and love seeing kindness and true citizenship happen in the world.
Have any favorite quotes?
“Not all who wander are lost.” I think sometimes the journey is the goal and the reward.
What do you like to do in your free time?
Since I was a kid, I have been a gamer, and I am typically into anything “geeky.” I also enjoy being outdoors and getting lost in finding new places. I call myself an amateur photographer, but I really look for scenic views and have transitioned mainly over to the camera on my Pixel 4XL.
I take a break. Never doubt the power in stepping back for a bit. It can calm and free your mind for fresh ideas.

What would you do if you had no fear?
Not play it so safe all the time. Take some risks that everyone around me seems to take with effortless ease.
If I had one core message for the world, what would it be?
Be kind and take care of each other. Life is hard enough and too short for a lack of empathy and compassion.
At this moment, what do you desire most?
I want to travel more. It’s a big world, and I’ve yet to see much of it.
Who or what inspires you?
People who fight for others with nothing to gain for themselves.
Quarantine can be a time of learning, self-reflection, and personal discovery. That said, is there anything you would like to share that COVID-19 and this quarantine has taught you?
For sure! It brings to light all the things we take for granted. Simple things like social activities, going to the movies, or just hanging out with friends.

Everyone at Edafio has a story about why they joined the team. What’s yours?
I started in the tech industry as a store manager at a GameStop, which was a great gig since I was a gamer. Then, I learned how to talk tech to non-tech people at Hewlett Packard’s call center. Eventually became CARTI’s Helpdesk Supervisor when Edafio came on board. Working at CARTI has been very rewarding, and I’m very grateful Edafio has given me the ability to continue that with an even broader team to utilize.
Edafio is always looking for exceptional candidates to join our team. For an opportunity to work with folks like Justin, be sure to visit our careers page to learn more.
