We are thrilled to pay tribute to our April Associate Spotlight Jordan King, TOC Engineer at Conway Regional who started off in our Internship program.
The comings and goings of staff are a part of every dynamic organization; therefore, it can be challenging to get to know our coworkers better as people. We have to be mindful that our company culture thrives on our exceptional people as much as their outstanding technical skills. As such, we are finding that our periodic interviews with associates allow us to acknowledge and celebrate the beautiful life stories, extraordinary professional accomplishments, and even the little quirks that make us uniquely beautiful human beings.
We hope you find each Edafio associate story is as inspiring as we do in gathering and sharing them.
How long have you worked at Edafio, and what does your job entail?
I have worked at Edafio since November 4th, 2019, for almost two and a half years, one year and five months of which was through the internship program at Conway Regional and then transitioning into a full-time role there.
What do you like most about your job?
The best part about the job that I perform at Edafio inside Conway Regional’s sphere is that everyone listens to the benefits of change and implements new solutions intended to help the organization. It is gratifying.
What is the best career lesson you’ve learned so far?
When troubleshooting several times, I wanted to utilize new skills, which caused me to become overzealous and forget that sometimes the simple answer is the best.
What would you do (for a career) if you weren’t doing this?
I would probably coach if I weren’t doing this. I’ve always loved this industry, so I haven’t thought much about where I’d be elsewhere, but it would have to be coaching. Due to my love of sports
What do you like to do when you aren’t working?
I enjoy spending time with my family, going to church functions and events, and specifically with my brother and his daughter when my son is around. It’s always a great time getting to see our kids play together, and it reminds us of the good days when we were younger.
EVERYONE AT EDAFIO HAS A STORY ABOUT WHY THEY JOINED THE TEAM. WHAT’S YOURS?
I attended one of my usual BIT Club meetings as an officer when I saw Amy Beam. I just said hello and explained what I was doing there and asked her about what she was doing, and she was coincidentally speaking at that meeting about Edafio and what they were about. This led to a conversation about internships and how they were looking for one, so I sent in my resume and went to a couple of interviews. I later found out Henry Hill was a current employee at Edafio, and I was completely sold.
Edafio is always looking for exceptional candidates to join our team. For an opportunity to work with folks like Jordan, be sure to visit our careers page to learn more.
