Are there any hobbies or special talents that you enjoy outside of work?
I have been a DJ since 1999. Initially I learned how to mix vinyl records, and it has been truly amazing seeing how the technology has progressed over the years. My main genres of focus tend to be drum & bass, and house.
How do you approach work-life balance and manage your time effectively?
For me, it is incredibly important to unplug in order to be consistently effective. Biking, hiking and exploring our state, with Stevi and Koda, recharge and prepare me for the work day’s challenges. It’s important to ask for help when needed, as well.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Japan! I have been intensely fascinated by Japanese culture since I was a child, mainly due to exports like anime and video games. I find that the people, food, and technology are all very interesting.
Are there any causes or charities that you are passionate about? Why are they important to you?
Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors Without Borders. This organization resonates with me because I think it’s important to see the planet without the lines we’ve drawn on our maps. I think this view will be especially important in the future, so that all people can have a seat at the table.
Are there any upcoming personal or professional goals that you’re excited about pursuing?
I’m working on a farm-to-bottle hot sauce project with a lifelong friend of mine. The target for production is summer 2024!
If you could give one piece of advice to new hires at Edafio, what would it be?
Work on being agile and flexible. The MSP landscape changes constantly.
