We know we hire the best of the best and we want to share some of what makes our employees who they are. That being said, Edafio’s is excited to announce an Associate Spotlight twice a month. For April, we are shining the light on our dedicated associate, Casey Shryock. Casey joined the Edafio team as a Service Desk Engineer and is stationed in our North Little Rock office.
Tell us a little bit about yourself? I grew up in El Dorado, Arkansas. I went to Henderson State University and received my Bachelor’s in Business Administration. I have three older brothers and a younger sister. I enjoy playing video games, going to concerts, camping, and helping others resolve technology issues.
What drew you to this profession? Ever since I was a little kid, watching my dad and brother run different commands in DOS to load programs always amazed me. We had a computer in our home for as long as I can remember, and it always intrigued me with everything they could do. Over the years I just fell more in love with their expertise and enjoyed troubleshooting technical issues with my friends and family.

Who or what inspires you? My dad. He was smart, genuine, and loved his family very much. I really look up to him.
What do you like to do in your free time? I enjoy playing all types of Video Games. I love watching sports: college football, NFL, and UFC. I also enjoy camping, going to concerts, and hanging out with friends.
Have you read any good books lately? The last book I read was Under the Dome by Stephen King. I didn’t finish it because it was too long, and I don’t like to read.

Lastly, everyone at Edafio has a story about why they joined the team. What’s yours? I got in contact with Mike Lax through someone at my previous job and learned about Edafio through him. A few months later I ran into Yong in Hot Springs one day and we got to talking about where he worked. It just so happened to be Edafio. He told me what a great place Edafio was to work for. At that point, it was meant to be.
