Client Relationship Leader and vCIO Carson Seelinger of Edafio Technology Partners was recognized as an industry leader in Arkansas Business Journal’s “The 20 New Influentials in Their 20s.” feature in the September issue.

Numerous nominations were reviewed and evaluated by an internal steering committee based on references, industry involvement, and other resources who have demonstrated leadership roles, have made an impact on his or her company or community, and how the potential to be a leader in business or politics.

“I think being able to work through the challenges of COVID-19 has been a challenging but rewarding task. Being able to equip our clients with tools that they needed to support a remote workforce environment and seeing technology usher in a new work dynamic has been great to see,” Seelinger said.

Carson, 28, serves as a virtual Chief Information Officer for Friendship Community Care, a 1,600-person nonprofit healthcare organization. He is also acting CIO for Landmark PLC, the 3rd largest accounting firm in Arkansas. In both roles, which are in themselves unique positions to fill for an individual in his 20’s, Carson’s most notable and mission-critical achievement was navigating the transition to a remote workforce during COVID-19. Success in the planning and accomplishing highly individualized solutions for both clients demanded technology expertise and management and communication skills far beyond his years of experience. Besides both Friendship Community Care and Landmark PLC requiring vastly different strategies for remote deployment, Carson met the challenge of procuring both the hardware and software required for such a transition. The I.T. infrastructure he identified and put in place supported and facilitated their success during the pandemic.

“What impresses me most is when one of my employees or I call or sends Carson a message, we get an immediate response. That is something you don’t see anymore. Not only is he very professional, but his attitude is also that he cares and wants to do a great job! I have been very impressed with Carson and his leadership skills!” Randy Milligan, CPA, Landmark CPAs Principal

Seelinger most recently earned his MBA degree online from Arkansas State University. He graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in electronics and computer engineering technology where he was a member of the Tau Alpha Pi National Honor Society.

Seelinger moved to Dallas, living there for five years where he worked as an engineer and project manager for AT&T. He interned for Edafio while enrolled at UA Little Rock. He kept in contact with the firm that he finally joined in January.

Outside the office, Seelinger is an avid cyclist, which makes sense because his parents own bicycle shop Spokes Giant of Little Rock. Carson is also the Music Director for Fellowship Bible Church for the last five years, providing leadership for the worship team – a volunteer position that might otherwise have required a paid professional. He also donates substantial time and service with the Arkansas Foodbank, packing food boxes for communities in need. Other notable mentions include Tinkerfest Volunteer for the Museum of Discovery, Holiday Volunteer for Feed the Funnel in Little Rock.
