We are thrilled to pay tribute to our April Associate Spotlight Seth McGee, Intern turned Cybersecurity Analyst for our clients.
The comings and goings of staff are a part of every dynamic organization; therefore, it can be challenging to get to know our coworkers better as people. We have to be mindful that our company culture thrives on our exceptional people as much as their outstanding technical skills. As such, we are finding that our periodic interviews with associates allow us to acknowledge and celebrate the beautiful life stories, extraordinary professional accomplishments, and even the little quirks that make us uniquely beautiful human beings.
We hope you find each Edafio associate story as inspiring as we do in gathering and sharing them.
How long have you worked at Edafio, and what does your job entail?
I have been a part of the Edafio team for almost two years. I began as an intern but recently transitioned to a Cybersecurity Analyst, where I am dedicated full-time to an Edafio client. I work closely with vulnerability management tools and assist with our Security Awareness Program. I also perform other security-related tasks with the end goal of keeping our clients protected.
What do you like most about your job?
I enjoy knowing that I have ended the workday, making our client a more secure place to work.
What do you like to do when you aren’t working?
When not working, I like to keep busy making things with my hands. Carpentry and drawing are a few outlets that I partake in. I also participate in kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
What’s a fun fact about you many people may not know?
I have never lost a professional UFC fight…
I have also never won either.
Where’s your favorite place in the world?
My favorite place in the world is in the middle of the woods camping.
Everyone at Edafio has a story about why they joined the team. What’s yours?
As a soon to graduate college student, I started looking for a full-time job. This was at the beginning of the pandemic, so I had little hope of finding a job since everything was temporarily shutting down. Luckily, I had a friend who worked at Edafio, and he quickly recommended that I apply. I started as an intern, and now I am a full-time cybersecurity analyst.
Edafio is always looking for exceptional candidates to join our team. For an opportunity to work with folks like Seth, be sure to visit our careers page to learn more.
