Congratulations to two of our Edafio Technology Partners associates, Kinsey Tickell and Keith Crawford, for their curiosity and enthusiasm to learn and develop new skills in their specialized healthcare and cybersecurity environments. Edafio’s philosophy of continuous learning helps our team gain a deeper appreciation for new possibilities, new knowledge, and new skills and make a meaningful contribution to our client’s success and our company.
Kinsey Tickell, Edafio Healthcare Consultant, obtained the HealthCare Information Security and Privacy Practitioner (HCISPP), issued by (ISC)². HCISPP stands for HealthCare Information Security and Privacy Practitioners, with security and privacy being the two keywords of importance when discussing this certification. Earning the HCISPP indicates a dedication to protecting patient health information that directly benefits both you, as the employer, and your team members, as the certification holders.
“Kinsey continues to play an integral role in delivering healthcare and cybersecurity services for our clients at Edafio. Her dedication to continuous education and professional development is evident in this latest certification that she has achieved. Congratulations, Kinsey!”
Cybersecurity and Healthcare Team Leader Valerie Moring.
The HCISPP credential validates the core knowledge and experience needed to implement, manage, or assess a healthcare organization’s appropriate security and privacy controls. This distinguished HCISPP certificate validates that Tickell understands the best practices and techniques to protect organizations and sensitive patient data against emerging threats and breaches.
Keith Crawford, Senior Cybersecurity Consultant, recently received The Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). The CISSP is a globally recognized certification that demonstrates Crawford has the necessary skills, knowledge, and experience to implement and manage a robust cybersecurity program. By completing a grueling three-hour, adaptive exam, earning this certification shows expertise across eight security practices and principles. As a cybersecurity professional, his accreditation proves how to create effective business solutions and ensures that those solutions are appropriately managed to benefit the business.
“Keith has undoubtedly been instrumental in the evolution of our cybersecurity services at Edafio since joining the company. By obtaining this certification, Keith will continue to raise the bar higher for our clients and internal initiatives,”
Valerie Moring, Cybersecurity and Healthcare Consulting Team Lead.
The International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC) created this certification course to assist and elevate those professionals who have proven deep technical and managerial competence. With the skills, experience, and authority to design, engineer, implement, and manage the information security program, they can protect organizations from malware, ransomware, and other malicious attacks.
The CISSP is the most globally recognized certification in the information security market and was also recently named the most valuable security certification for 2021. The broad spectrum of topics covered by the recently updated CISSP exam aligns with the Common Body of Knowledge (CBK), a comprehensive framework of all the relevant subjects a security professional should be familiar with, including skills, techniques, and best practices. It ensures that a certified professional understands all aspects of information security and how different pieces of the information technology ecosystem interact.
