We are thrilled to pay tribute to Brad Rusher one of our July Associate Spotlight and esteemed Sr. Systems Engineer.
The comings and goings of staff are a part of every dynamic organization; therefore, it can be challenging to get to know our coworkers better as people, especially coming out of a time of social distancing. We have to be mindful that our company culture thrives on our exceptional people as much as their outstanding technical skills. As such, we are finding that our periodic interviews with associates allow us to acknowledge and celebrate the beautiful life stories, extraordinary professional accomplishments, and even the little quirks that make us uniquely beautiful human beings.

How long have you worked at Edafio, and what does your job entail?
I have been with Edafio for nine years in October, I design/implement various solutions for clients on the projects team, as well as support internal Edafio and various client’s users/systems.
What can I say about Brad, or better yet, what can I not say about Brad. Anyone who comes in contact with him immediately notices his kindness and humility. A fantastic engineer and team member who always goes the extra mile. Oh, and did I mention he has a pecan farm! How cool is that!

What do you like most about your job?
I enjoy helping companies find solutions to problems so they can run their business without worrying about technology but taking advantage of it.
What is the best career lesson you’ve learned so far?
You don’t know everything…be willing to learn and easy to work with
What would you do (for a career) if you weren’t doing this?
Something outdoors, farming, working with my hands, building something
What do you like to do when you aren’t working?
Church, spending time with the fam, hunting, fishing, sitting on the tractor
What’s a fun fact about you many people may not know?
My parents say I might have played in the major leagues if I would have stuck with baseball
Where’s your favorite place in the world?
Colorado is pretty cool…our family is taking a trip out there this fall and I can’t wait for my kids to see it
What is your motto or personal mantra?

If you could meet anyone in the world, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
Jesus – My Lord and Savior. To walk and talk with Him just for a day.
What are three words to best describe you?
Loyal, Hardworking and Easygoing
What is the one thing you can’t live without?
My wife…I am not sure what I would do without her

I worked for Alltel and things were unstable and I wanted to expand my career and learn more. It was through a mutual connection of Kenny’s who suggested I apply at Edafio. I got an interview right away and I accepted the position. Coming to Edafio was the best decision I made and I continue to learn and grow every day.
